Swallowcliffe Children’s Precinct Backbone

Community Programs

About this service

The Backbone Team’s primary role is to support the Swallowcliffe Children’s Precinct Committee in its day‑to‑day work, helping services in the Davoren Park community work together to improve outcomes for children and families. We focus on connecting and supporting precinct service staff on the ground, as well as engaging and amplifying community voice to ensure SCPC and collective decisions reflect local priorities.

We provide the behind‑the‑scenes coordination that keeps the Precinct moving. This includes bringing partners together, supporting strong cultural governance and inclusive community engagement, sharing updates and insights, and helping plan, deliver and report on agreed priorities. The Backbone Team runs and supports key community connection activities such as the weekly Neighbourhood Connectors program and the Precinct Event Committee. Through this ongoing community engagement, we work alongside children and families, listen to their knowledge and experiences, and ensure community perspectives are connected to current and upcoming work.
