Accessibility

NACYS is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disability. We believe everyone deserves equal access to information about our services and the ability to make referrals without barriers.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard. This is the benchmark referenced by the Australian Human Rights Commission under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA).

We have designed and built this website with accessibility in mind from the start. Specific measures include semantic HTML, full keyboard navigation support, screen reader compatibility, descriptive alternative text on all meaningful images, colour contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA requirements, responsive design that works at 200% and 400% zoom, a Quick Exit button accessible via keyboard shortcut, and form fields with visible labels and accessible validation.

We consider this website to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not yet completed a formal, independent accessibility audit but are committed to undertaking one.

If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or if you find content that is not accessible to you, we want to hear from you. Please contact us so we can address the issue. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days.

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you can make a complaint to the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) at humanrights.gov.au or by calling 1300 656 419.
