About this service
The Family & Child Wellbeing Network is a school-based collaborative program between Northern Area Community & Youth Services, selected schools, and some of the most well-known University's in South Australia.
The Family & Child Wellbeing Network provides professionally supervised Social Work and Counselling & Psychotherapy students who can provide therapeutic counselling and support for children and their families within a school setting. The Family & Child Wellbeing network can work with families to understand their child and young person's emotions and behaviour and provide strategies to improve social and emotional wellbeing. Services for the program are all voluntary, confidential, flexible, and tailored to the need of the individual client.
Eligibility
Referrals to the program are identified by school staff and your family. If you would like your child to engage with the Family & Child Wellbeing Network, please speak with your schools Leadership staff or your child's classroom teacher for further information. Both High and Primary Schools in Northern Adelaide are eligible to have the program implemented in their school. Please contact NACYS to discuss further details.

Hours
All counselling sessions are held during school hours, on school grounds.
Fees
Free to clients and families. There is a cost for schools to have the program implemented into their school. Please contact NACYS for further details.
